As the long weekend nears, it's hard not to see summer coming to an end. The days are shorter, school is about to start and work is heavy planning and setting up our fall and Christmas campaigns. A dear friend of mine is suffering in pain and fighting fears. Another feels as though her best isn't good enough. Another readies herself for a solo trip to the Caribbean. There is worry, but there is love. There is fear, but there is light. Yes, there is a lot of energy swirling about me and it's been challenging to keep up with it all and stay centred.
Today, however, I fought through the swirling energies and stayed focused on the tasks at hand. Work was productive. After work went exactly as planned as well. Some days, that's enough to be thankful for. With all the energies swirling about, it's a moment to pause and appreciate the fact that, in the end, my day went exactly as planned.
Moments sheltering oneself from the swirling energies.
Moments realizing that one's plans for the day worked out.
