Today’s moment happened while I was at volleyball. We have been playing at this school since September. Every Thursday. You would think that I would have noticed the oars sooner. But, it is all about the timing.
Today when I left to fill up my water bottle, I found myself locked out of the gym. I had to walk around the big school hallways to get to the front doors again.
It was on this little jaunt that I noticed them. There 8, maybe 10 oars hanging up near the ceiling. They were vertical and each had an inspirational word painted on it. Empathy; Honesty; Honour; Courage…
It made me smile. It was a simple moment, but one that caught me by surprise. I really love those moments most.
